7 OF THE BEST FOODS FOR WEIGHT LOSS

Some of us have very limited beliefs about the food we can include in our diet, sometimes we picture lettuce and more lettuce for the rest of our lives, others like myself when I just started in my fitness journey believed that some veggies and any kind of protein will do the trick. Luckily there are a broad variety of foods that actually are amazing to achieve your weight loss goals.
Here is a list of 7 of the best foods for weight loss:

1. Whole eggs

They are one of the best foods to eat when you are trying to lose those extra pounds, they are loaded with protein and good fats, they will make you feel full with very low calories. For some time eggs were feared because we thought they were related with high cholesterol in the blood, but new studies show that they neither increase cholesterol in the blood or give you heart attacks.

2.  Leafy greens

Best foods for weight loss

Spinach, kale, collards and others, they are packed with antioxidants, fiber and good carbohydrates and very low calories.Eating leafy greens is a great way to increase the volume of your meals, without increasing the calories. Numerous studies show that meals and diets with a low energy density make people eat fewer calories overall, so it is always a great idea to include those on your daily diet.

3. Cruciferous

Brocolli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and cabbage are some veggies on this group. These veggies are very low in calories and high in fiber and also contain protein so they are a great substitute for other protein sources. Include these ones in your meals and you will feel great!

4. Salmon

Loaded with high-quality protein, healthy fats such as Omega 3, and other important nutrients, all of this makes salmon a great source of energy and health and is also amazingly satisfying.Mackerel, trout, sardines, herring and other types of fatty fish are also excellent.Yes, fat is also important when trying to lose weight, but concentrate on quality fatty acids like the Omegas.

5. Legumes

Beans are a great example, beans and other legumes can be beneficial for weight loss. This includes lentils, black beans, kidney beans and some others. These foods tend to be high in protein and fiber, which are two nutrients that have been shown to lead to satiety. They also tend to contain some resistant starch.

6. Cottage Cheese

Dairy products are rich in protein, but not all of them are beneficial for weight loss, cottage cheese is one of the best foods for weight loss because it contains very low fat and high amounts of protein per calorie. Another one with great value for your diet is Greek Yogurt. If you are adding dairy products to your diet this should be on the list.

7. Avocados

These ones not only are greatly satisfying but an amazing source of healthy fats like monosaturated oleic acid, the same you find in olive oil. They are also full of water and fiber which gives them a lower density than most foods that is why they are a great option when trying to lose weight.

So now you know there are plenty of other choices apart from lettuce to include on your weight loss plan.
